Check out these must-visit places in the Marlton area.

Marlton is one of the best places to live in South Jersey. According to stats on important factors like schools, housing, crime, jobs, and more, our beautiful town has it all—including plenty of things to do. We have some wonderful places to visit in Marlton, but we’re also surrounded by some exciting attractions within short driving distances from our hometown. Whether you’re planning a date night, a day out with the family, or some solo relaxation time, we’ve got you covered. Here are our top 8 favorite places to visit in Marlton.

1. Relax and find inner peace at the Halo Wellness Center in Marlton.

When was the last time you practiced some self-care? Taking some time out of your busy schedule to relax your body and refresh your mind is important. Thanks to the Halo Wellness Center, Marlton residents don’t have to leave town to take a mini spa-cation.

The Halo Wellness Center offers everything from massage therapy to kinesiology and red light therapy. You’ll also find yoga classes and group classes for light grid therapy, meditation, and more. If you’re interested in improving your health overall, you can also ask about their health coaching programs.

2. Explore the underwater world at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden.

If you’re looking for an awesome place to take your animal-loving family, Adventure Aquarium in Camden is the place to go.

The Adventure Aquarium is located on the Camden Waterfront near downtown Philly. This stunning aquarium features over 15,000 different aquatic animals and has a number of accolades under its belt, including being home to the only great hammerhead shark exhibit in the United States. It is also the only aquarium to have hippos on display and is one of only six facilities in the US to house little blue penguins!

Even though the Adventure Aquarium is a great place for kids, we highly recommend it to any adult who loves animals. It could even make a fun day date for you and a loved one.

3. Plan an exciting date night at Bury the Hatchet in Cherry Hill.

Dinner and a movie isn’t exactly an original date night idea… so how about throwing axes instead?

Bury the Hatchet is a highly rated axe-throwing venue located in Cherry Hill. If you’ve never been axe throwing before, think of it like playing darts—just on a larger scale! Bury the Hatchet always has ‘Axe Masters’ on hand to help keep score and help new players stay safe.

We think this would make for a super memorable date night, but it also would be fun to go with a group of friends or with your family. If you plan on going with family, make sure you leave the little ones at home as kids must be at least 14 to play.

4. Gather with your favorite group at Topgolf in Mount Laurel.

Golfing even when the weather is chilly is completely possible thanks to Topgolf in Mount Laurel.

Topgolf has over 100 climate-controlled hitting bays so you can practice your swing without being out in the elements. They also have a full-service restaurant and bar, free wifi, a rooftop deck with a cozy firepit, and a number of other awesome amenities.

Topgolf is certainly one of the best places to visit in Marlton on your own, but we highly recommend going with a group of people to get the best experience possible. If you’re looking for a place to host a party or an event with coworkers, Topgolf is definitely one to check out as they offer private event spaces and meeting rooms.

5. Boost your brainpower at the Great Escape Room Challenge in Cherry Hill.

Escape rooms are booming in popularity, and for good reason. They’re not only exciting, but they also push your brainpower to the max and are a great chance to bond with your favorite people. Luckily for us, The Great Escape Room Challenge is located right over in Cherry Hill and has the best escape rooms in South Jersey.

The Great Escape Room Challenge has a number of escape rooms to choose from, with most taking about 45 minutes to an hour to complete. Most of their games are aimed at adults or older teens, but there are also two options for kids—including the popular Slime Factory puzzle.

6. Spend a quiet evening at the Valenzano Family Winery in Shamong.

If you love wine, Valenzano Family Winery makes for a perfect romantic night away with a loved one.

Valenzano Winery not only offers wine tastings, but it also hosts winter tours and Thursday night dinners. Their Thursday night dinners are especially popular and feature a professionally cooked meal paired with either a house recommended wine or your choice of a flight of three wines. Keep an eye on their events page as they often host holiday-related events and even comedy nights.

7. Play with your kids at the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill.

For an exciting and educational day out with the kids, look no further than the Garden State Discovery Museum in Cherry Hill.

The Discovery Museum is a hands-on museum specifically designed for kids. Some of the activities include digging for dinosaur bones, playing basketball or hockey, hosting a production at the theater, role-playing as a doctor or a veterinarian, and more. You can view their interactive map to see all of the exhibits and activities. The Discovery Museum also hosts a number of events all year round.
